Requirements to obtain VISA to enter Uruguay

Passport Information

U.S. Passport or passport of any other nationality, must have at least 6 months remaining validity from the day of entry into the country for which VISA has been applied for. If validity is less than 6 months ETS will renew your passport (Fee’s apply).
US. citizens do not need a visa to enter Uruguay for tourism purposes for a period of 90 days.

Visa requirements for non-U.S. citizens

Uruguay Tourist Visa

A valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining
1 visa application form, completed and signed – Click Here. All application forms must be typed in.
One application form, fully completed and signed
One recent passport type photograph
A copy for the Resident alien card or a valid visa back to the U.S.
Proof of hotel reservation and address of the travel agency
If going for a visit please provide personal references in Uruguay
Onward/return ticket or confirmed itinerary

Uruguay Business Visa

A valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining

One application form, fully completed and signed
One recent passport type photograph
A copy for the Resident alien card or a valid visa back to the U.S.
A letter of invitation from the host company in Uruguay
A letter from the company in the U.S. (on company letterhead) stating the purpose and duration of the trip and that the company will take care of all the financial expenses of the applicant during the intended stay in Uruguay
Onward/return ticket or confirmed itinerary
