Call, email, or complete our online inquiry form. One of our visa specialists will review your travel plans and determine the correct visa type for your trip.
Step 2 – Receive Your China Visa Packet
We’ll send you our easy-to-complete China Visa Questionnaire along with a personalized checklist via email of the documents required for your application.
Step 3 – Submit Your Documents
Email us your completed questionnaire and supporting documents for review. Our team will carefully verify everything before preparing your official China visa application.
Once your application is ready for passport submission, we’ll provide the next steps:
- Nationwide Clients: We’ll email you a prepaid FedEx shipping label with instructions for securely sending your passport to our office.
- Southern California Clients: We’ll contact you to schedule a convenient time to personally drop off your passport at our San Diego office.
We only ask for your passport when it’s time to move forward with the next stage of the application, helping ensure the process is as efficient as possible.
Step 4 – We Prepare Your Application
Our experienced staff completes your China visa application, verifies the information, prepares your supporting documents, and ensures everything meets current Chinese Consulate requirements.
Step 5 – Application Submission
Once your application is ready, we manage the submission process and coordinate passport submission according to current Chinese Consulate procedures.
Step 6 – Receive Your Passport
After your visa has been issued, we’ll securely return your passport to you.
China Tourist Visa Requirements
To begin your China Tourist Visa application, please provide the following:
Passport
- Original signed passport
- Valid for at least six (6) months beyond your planned entry into China
- Minimum of two blank visa pages
Passport Information Page
- Clear color copy of your passport information page
Passport Photo
Please provide one recent color photo that meets Chinese Consulate requirements.
Your photo must:
- Be taken within the last six months
- Be in color
- Have a plain white background
- Face directly toward the camera
- Show a neutral facial expression
- Be free of glasses, hats, filters, or shadows
- Be high resolution
- Be provided in JPEG format
Don’t have a professional passport photo?
No problem. Many clients simply take a waist-up photo with their smartphone, and we’ll professionally review and format it whenever possible to meet current Chinese Consulate photo specifications.
Proof of U.S. Residency
Please provide one of the following showing your current physical address:
- Driver’s License
- State-issued ID
- Utility Bill
- Recent Bank Statement
P.O. Boxes are not accepted.
Previous China Visa (If Applicable)
If you currently have or previously held a China visa, please provide:
- Copy of your previous China visa
- Copy of the passport page where the visa appears
If your previous passport has been lost, please let us know. Additional documentation may be required.
China Visa Questionnaire
Instead of completing the government application yourself, simply complete our China Visa Questionnaire. Our experienced team will prepare your official application for you.
Additional Requirements for First-Time Applicants Born in China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan
Applicants born in China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan may be required to submit additional documentation.
This may include:
- Previous Chinese passport
- Previous foreign passport containing a China visa
- Naturalization Certificate
- Court-issued Name Change Decree (if applicable)
- Chinese name written in Chinese characters
Naturalized U.S. citizens applying for their first China visa often have additional documentation requirements.

Additional Requirements for Non-U.S. Citizens
Applicants who are not U.S. citizens must provide proof of lawful long-term U.S. status.
Examples include:
- Permanent Resident Card (front and back)
- H-1B Visa
- L-1 Visa
- Other qualifying immigration documentation
China Business Visa Requirements
Business travelers should provide all of the Tourist Visa requirements listed above, plus the following:
Business Invitation Letter
A letter of invitation from the company or organization in China.
The invitation should generally include:
- Applicant’s full name
- Passport number
- Date of birth
- Purpose of travel
- Intended travel dates
- Cities to be visited
- Name and address of the inviting company
- Contact information
- Company stamp (when required)
If you’re unsure whether your invitation letter meets current requirements, send it to us. We’ll review it before submission.
Family Visit Visas
Applicants visiting family members in China may also be required to provide:
- Invitation letter from the family member
- Copy of the family member’s Chinese Identification Card (front and back)
Additional documents may be required depending on your relationship and visa category.
Requirements for Minor Applicants (Under Age 18)
Children applying for a China visa must also provide:
- Birth Certificate
- Copies of both parents’ passports or driver’s licenses
- Additional proof of relationship if parents and child have different last names
Examples include:
- Marriage Certificate
- Court Documents
- Adoption Records
- Other legal documentation establishing the parent-child relationship
Additional Documentation May Be Required
Certain applicants may need to provide additional information.
Examples include:
- Current or prior military service
- Previous travel to Turkey
- Previous travel to Pakistan
- Previous travel to Uzbekistan
- Previous travel to Tajikistan
