Requirements to obtain VISA to enter United Arab Emirates
Passport Information
U.S. Passport or passport of any other nationality, must have at least 6 months remaining validity from the day of entry into the country for which VISA has been applied for. If validity is less than 6 months ETS will renew your passport (Fee's apply).

UAE Tourist Visa
- An original passport signed by the bearer, valid for at least six months
- Two (2) application forms (The Particulars of Sponsor/Host section must be filled out)
- Two original passport-sized photos
- An employment letter stating your position, or if you are self employed, copy of your business License, or if you are retired/home maker/student, letter from your bank stating that your account is in good standing
- Invitation letter from your Sponsor / Host in the UAE, copy of your Host residency permit in the UAE and copy of your Host’s passport
- A copy of the Resident alien card or a valid visa back to the U.S.
- Onward/return ticket or confirmed itinerary

UAE Business Visa
- An original passport signed by the bearer, valid for at least six months
- Two (2) application forms (The Particulars of Sponsor/Host section must be filled out)
- Two original passport-sized photos
- An employment letter from the company in the U.S.(on company letterhead) stating the purpose and duration of the trip and that the company will take care of all financial expenses of the applicant during the intended stay in UAE
- Invitation letter from your Sponsor / Host in the UAE, copy of your Host residency permit in the UAE and copy of your Host’s passport
- Onward/return ticket or confirmed itinerary
Other Information
- Citizens of the following countries no longer need to obtain visas prior to entry if their duration of stay is one month or less.
- United states, U.K. France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium,Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden,Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Ireland, Greece,Cypress, Finland, Malta, Spain,Monaco, Iceland, Vatican,Andorra, San Marino,Liechtenstein,Canada, Australia, Japan, Brunei,New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
Please note: All visa applications are subject to approval from the U.A.E. authorities and require a longer processing time. Therefore, contact your sponsor/ host or the hotel if you are going as a tourist and ask them to process a visa for you and fax a copy back to you before your departure and the original visa will be held at the U.A.E. airports. In this case, there is no need to apply at the Embassy.
