Requirements to obtain VISA to enter Romania

Passport Information
U.S. Passport or passport of any other nationality, must have at least 6 months remaining validity from the day of entry into the country for which VISA has been applied for. If validity is less than 6 months ETS will renew your passport (Fee's apply).

   

US citizens may enter and stay in Romania, without a visa, for a period not exceeding 90 days.

Visa requirements for non-U.S. citizens.

Romania Tourist Visa

• A valid passport with atleast 6 months validity remaining
• One application form, fully completed and signed
• One-passport type photographs
• A short letter mentioning the purpose of the travel and approximate date of arrival and departure
• A copy of the resident alien card or a valid visa back to the U.S. if the applicant is not a U.S. citizen
• Proof of hotel booking and sufficent funds
• Onward/return ticket or confirmed itinerary
• Proof of sufficient funds for the entire period of stay in Romania, in the amount of at least 100 USD per day (bank statement in the applicant's name, travelers checks or credit card statement)

Romania Business Visa

• A valid passport with atleast 6 months validity remaining
• One application form, fully completed and signed
• One-passport type photographs
• A short letter mentioning the purpose of the travel and approximate date of arrival and departure
• A copy of the resident alien card or a valid visa back to the U.S. if the applicant is not a U.S. citizen

Other Information

• Citizens of certain countries are required to submit a letter of invitation to obtain the visa. Please contact ETS for the information The invitation should be extended by a Romanian natural or legal person, notarized by a Romanian notary public and approved by the Division for Foreigners, Migration Issues and Passports in Bucharest. The original of the invitation must be sent to the Consular Office.
