Requirements to obtain VISA to enter Norway
Passport Information
U.S. Passport or passport of any other nationality, must have at least 6 months remaining validity from the day of entry into the country for which VISA has been applied for. If validity is less than 6 months ETS will renew your passport (Fee's apply).
US citizens do not need a VISA for tourist or business purposes for up to 90 days.
Visa requirements for non-U.S. citizens.
Norway Tourist Visa
- A valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining (1 copy of passport pages)
- One application form, completed and signed (If sending by mail, the signature on the application form has to be notarized by an American public notary)
- 2 passport type photos
- A copy of the green card or a valid visa back to the US (original green card is required for verification)
- Proof of sufficient funds (bank statements for the last 3 months)
- Proof of accommodation i.e. hotel reservation. If staying with family or friends an official letter of invitation should be submitted which should be signed by the concerned party and notarized by the concerned authority in the relevant Schengen country
- Travel/health accident insurance (The health insurance should show your name and the minimum coverage of the insurance must be at least 30.000 Euro or approx $37.5000 and must be internationally valid - which should be clearly written in the insurance papers)
Norway Business Visa
- A valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining (1 copy of passport pages)
- One application form, completed and signed (If sending by mail, the signature on the application form has to be notarized by an American public notary)
- 2 passport type photos
- A copy of the green card or a valid visa back to the US (original green card is required for verification)
- Proof of sufficient funds (bank statements for the last 3 months)
- A letter of invitation from the host company in Norway
- A letter from the company in the U.S. stating the purpose and duration of the trip
- Travel/health accident insurance (The health insurance should show your name and the minimum coverage of the insurance must be at least 30.000 Euro or approx $37.5000 and must be internationally valid- which should be clearly written in the insurance papers)
