Requirements to obtain VISA to enter Laos
Passport Information
U.S. Passport or passport of any other nationality, must have at least 6 months remaining validity from the day of entry into the country for which VISA has been applied for. If validity is less than 6 months ETS will renew your passport (Fee's apply).

Laos Tourist Visa
- A valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining
- Two application forms filled out in duplicate
- Three recent photographs
- A copy of the Green Card or a valid visa back to the U.S. if the applicant is not a U.S. citizen
- Onward/return ticket or confirmed itinerary
- Proof of sufficient funds

Laos Business Visa
- A valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining
- Two application forms filled out in duplicate
- Three recent photographs
- A copy of the Green Card or a valid visa back to the U.S. if the applicant is not a U.S. citizen
- A letter from the company in the U. S. stating the purpose and duration of the trip
- A letter of invitation from the company in Laos
- Onward/return ticket or confirmed itinerary
- Proof of sufficient funds
Other Information
- All types of visas are issued for one entry and must be used within two months of issue date
- Business visa authorization is arranged by sponsor in Laos and the Embassy can not process visas until it receives authorization or approval from the authorities concerned in Laos.
- Multiple entry visa is available from the ministry of foreign affairs, consular department.
