Requirements to obtain VISA to enter Germany
Passport Information
U.S. Passport or passport of any other nationality, must have at least 6 months remaining validity from the day of entry into the country for which VISA has been applied for. If validity is less than 6 months ETS will renew your passport (Fee's apply).
US CITIZENS IN POSESSION OF A VALID U.S. PASPORT DO NOT NEED A VISA FOR AIRPORT TRANSIT, TOURIST OR BUSINESS TRIPS (FOR STAYS UP TO 90 DAYS)
VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR NON US CITIZENS
Germany Tourist Visa
- Valid passport (an additional copy) with at least 6 months validity remaining
- Fully completed application form
- 2 passport type photographs (no older than 6 months)
- Valid US alien registration card or valid US resident Visa and one copy
- Current bank statement and one copy
- Proof of health insurance coverage for trips outside the US and one copy
- Proof of group travel/hotel reservation/airline reservation and one copy
Germany Business Visa
- Valid passport (an additional copy) with at least 6 months validity remaining
- Fully completed application form
- 2 passport type photographs (no older than 6 months)
- Valid US alien registration card or valid US resident Visa and one copy
- Current bank statement and one copy
- Proof of health insurance coverage for trips outside the US and one copy
- Business refrences (letter from your US employer, invitation from German company or organization, stating that it will bear all accumulating expenses)
- Proof of hotel reservation and airline reservation and one copy
