Requirements to obtain VISA to enter Finland
Passport Information
U.S. Passport or passport of any other nationality, must have at least 6 months remaining validity from the day of entry into the country for which VISA has been applied for. If validity is less than 6 months ETS will renew your passport (Fee's apply).
US CITIZENS DO NOT NEED A TOURIST/BUSINESS VISA FOR A STAY OF UP TO 90 DAYS
VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR NON US CITIZENS
Finland Tourist Visa
- Valid passport with at least 3 months validity remaining after the visa expires.
- Completed visa application (signed infront of a visa officer or notary public)
- One photo picture size: 3,6 cm x 4,7 cm (1 3/8 inch x 1 7/8 inch)
head: 3,2 cm x 3,6 cm (1 1/4 inch x 1 3/8 inch) incorrect sizes cannot be accepted - Notarized copy of your Resident Alien Card (Green Card) OR a valid US visa in your passport
- Invitation letter. If you cannot get an invitation letter, you must have the name and address of your host, or information about your hotel reservation.
- Proof of your airline reservation to and from Finland, such as am itinerary from a travel agency, or proof of other travel arrangements.
- Proof of sufficient funds
- Valid visa for the country of your next destination (after Finland).
- Valid traveller's insurance, which is valid during the whole stay and in the whole Schengen territory. The insurance must cover costs caused by sudden illness and accidents, including the transport home of the patient up to the amount of USD 36.000,00 and in case of death the costs for transport home of the deceased OR medical insurance with the same coverage (coverage must be indicated in letter from insurance company).

Finland Business Visa
- Valid passport with at least 3 months validity remaining after the visa expires.

- A letter from the company you work for, in U.S. and an invitation letter from your business contact in Finland
