Requirements to obtain VISA to enter Ethiopia

Ethiopia Tourist Visa

• A valid passport, with atleast 6 months validity remaining
• 1 visa application form, fully completed and signed
• 1- passport-type photograph required
• A copy of the Green Card (front and back) or a valid visa back to the U.S. if the applicant is not a U.S. citizen
• Onward/return ticket or confirmed itinerary

Please Note: On arrival tourist visa, up to three months, can be issued at Bole International Airport for nationals and residents of the following countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Democratic people's Republic of Korea (northern Korea), Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea (south Korea), the Russian Federation, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States of America.

Ethiopia Business Visa

• A valid passport, with atleast 6 months validity remaining
• 1 visa application form, fully completed and signed
• 1- passport-type photograph required
• A copy of the Green Card (front and back) or a valid visa back to the U.S. if the applicant is not a U.S. citizen
• All business visa applicants should attach a letter addressed to Ethiopian Embassy from his /her organization explaining the purpose of his/her travels.
• Onward/return ticket or confirmed itinerary

Other Information

• Yellow fever immunization is recommended and have your certificate upon your arrival in Ethiopia.
• Upon arrival at the airport, you must declare any foriegn currency to the customs authority
