Requirements to obtain VISA to enter Czech Republic
Passport Information
U.S. Passport or passport of any other nationality, must have at least 6 months remaining validity from the day of entry into the country for which VISA has been applied for. If validity is less than 6 months ETS will renew your passport (Fee's apply).
U. S. citizens do not need a visa to to enter Czech Republic for the purpose of tourism or business for a period of 30 days.
Visa requirements for non-U.S. citizens
Czech Republic Tourist Visa
- A valid passport with atleast 90 days validity remaining
- One visa application form which should be completely filled out and signed. The form must be printed in red color and filled out completely (with a ballpoint pen or by a typewriter, do not use red ink); please do not forget to sign the application at the bottom of the fourth page.
- Copy of a data page of the passport (the page with your photograph)
- One passport size photograph (the photograph must be a FULL FACE VIEW, side or angled views are not accepted) glued (please do not staple) to the upper part of the first page of the application
- Copy of the Green Card or a valid visa back to the U.S., if the applicant is not a U.S. citizen
- Confirmation from hotel/tour operator, or letter of invitation from Czech citizen bearing the stamp of the Czech Immigration Authorities
- Copy of Airline ticket or copy of Itinerary
Czech Republic Business Visa
- A valid passport with atleast 90 days validity remaining
- One visa application form which should be completely filled out and signed. The form must be printed in red color and filled out completely (with a ballpoint pen or by a typewriter, do not use red ink); please do not forget to sign the application at the bottom of the fourth page
- Copy of a data page of the passport (the page with your photograph)
- One passport size photograph (the photograph must be a FULL FACE VIEW, side or angled views are not accepted) glued (please do not staple) to the upper part of the first page of the application
- Copy of the Green Card or a valid visa back to the U.S., if the applicant is not a U.S. citizen
- A letter from the company in the U.S. stating the purpose and duration of the trip, and that the company will take care of all the financial expenses during the intended stay in Czech Republic
- A letter of invitation from the host company
- Copy of the airline ticket or copy of Itinerary
Other Information
- All visas have to be approved by the Czech Immigration Police Headquarter in Prague, therefore the processing time takes usually up to 7-10 business days, assuming that all requirements have been met. However there are some cases in which the process can take up to 30 days.
Visa cannot be obtained at borders or airports !!!
All foreigners must register at a Czech Immigration Police Station within 3 days after their arrival in the Czech Republic (address of the Immigration Police in Prague is: Sdružení 1, Prague 4, tel. 011-420-2-614 411 19). Visitors accommodated in hotels/hostels will be registered by hotel/hostel owner.
